What GetHired is

GetHired is a public leaderboard. Candidates and companies list themselves in one of twelve categories, and the order of each board is set by what people are bidding. That is the whole product — there is no matching service, no agency, and no promise of employment.

What you are buying

A bid buys a position on a public leaderboard. Nothing else. It is not an advertisement placement, a guarantee of views, a job, an interview, or a hire.

• Being listed is free and always will be. You only pay to move up.
• Bids are whole dollars, starting at $1. Two people may hold the same amount; whoever reached it first ranks above, so passing somebody means paying more than them.
• You hold the position until somebody pays more. There is no time limit, no renewal, and no subscription — a bid is a one-off payment.
• When somebody outbids you, you keep nothing and are owed nothing. You had the position for as long as you had it. That is the deal, and it is the same for everyone.
• Any company may run up to 5 live openings, all visible to candidates. Holding #1 buys placement at the top of the board, not extra openings.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your position moves only once Stripe confirms the payment — if the payment does not complete, nothing changes on the board.

Your account and your profile

Signing in is by emailed link — there are no passwords. An account exists so that a position you paid for survives a cleared cookie or a change of device. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address you used.

Only submit a profile that is yours to submit, and only information you are happy to have shown publicly. Everything on a profile page is public by design.

What you cannot post

Every profile and job post on GetHired is public, appears next to everybody else's, and is indexed by search engines. These are removed on sight, without a warning and without a refund.

Adult and sexual content

• Pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit material of any kind — in a profile, a job post, an image, a link, or a linked site.
• Adult-industry work: escorting, sex work, camming, sugar arrangements, adult content creation, strip or fetish venues, or recruiting for any of them.
• Sexualised descriptions of a person, or judging a role on appearance or physical attributes.
• Anything involving a minor in a sexual context, which we report rather than merely remove.

Illegal, unsafe and exploitative

• Illegal work, controlled substances, weapons, stolen goods, or fraud of any kind.
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, “pay to start” roles, or any job that asks the candidate for money, equipment fees or training fees.
• Money-mule work, crypto “recovery” roles, or anything laundering-shaped.
• Unpaid roles presented as employment, and any offer that breaks local minimum-wage law.
• Human trafficking or coerced labour, which we report to the authorities.

Discrimination and harassment

• Requirements based on race, colour, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, age, nationality, or marital status — except where a genuine occupational requirement applies by law.
• Hate speech, slurs, harassment, threats, or content demeaning any group.
• Naming, targeting or disparaging a specific person.

Fake and misleading

• Impersonating a person or a company you do not represent.
• Listing someone who did not agree to be listed.
• Invented roles, invented companies, or a job that does not exist.
• Someone else's copyrighted text, logos or images.
• Personal data about anyone other than yourself.
• Automated bidding, scraping, or anything designed to distort the board.
• Chargebacks used to reverse a position you actually held.

We remove anything that breaks these rules and may close the account behind it. Removal for a rule break is not refunded — the bid was spent taking a position we then had to take down. If we remove something for our own reasons instead, we refund the last bid on it.

No guarantees

GetHired is provided as is. We do not promise that the site will always be available, that anyone will see your listing, or that bidding will lead to any outcome. We do not verify that profiles or job posts are accurate — the board shows what people submitted.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change never applies retroactively to a bid already paid.
