Refund policy
Last updated 25 August 2026
A bid buys a position for as long as it lasts. That makes refunds simple to state, so here they are plainly — including the cases where the answer is no.
Automatic, every time: losing the race
If somebody takes the spot while your payment is still going through, your bid can no longer beat the standing bid — so we do not apply it, and the payment is refunded in full, automatically. You do not have to ask. Nothing appears on the board and you are charged nothing on balance.
The refund is issued the moment we detect it, and typically lands back on your card in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Automatic: if we remove what you paid for
If we take down your profile or job post for breaking the terms, we refund the last bid you paid on it.
On request: something went wrong
Charged twice, charged and the position never moved, or charged an amount you did not enter? Email us and we will refund it. We would rather return money than argue about it.
Not refunded: being outbid
Once your bid is on the board, it is spent. If somebody outbids you an hour later, that is the auction working — you held the position for that hour, which is what you paid for. There is no partial refund for a short hold, and no credit toward a future bid.
This is the part worth understanding before you bid. Bid what the position is worth to you now, not what you hope to get back.
Not refunded: changing your mind
A bid is a live, public action — it moves a board other people can see and react to. We cannot undo that after the fact, so bids are not reversible on request. The $5 floor exists partly to keep an accidental bid small.
Not refunded: results
Holding #1 does not guarantee views, replies, interviews, or a hire. You are paying for the position, not an outcome, and we do not refund on the basis that the outcome did not happen.
Anything we have not covered — ask before you dispute with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and gets you the same answer more slowly.
